About Kelly
Kelly is a renaissance man. He loves camping, reading, photography, film, good food, good drink, good friends and his two boys, Jack and Joey. And flying. He really loves flying. He is currently pursuing his private pilot’s license and will receive an associate’s degree in aviation maintenance this April. He hopes some day to fly in order to serve others in mission or humanitarian aviation in lesser developed countries. And he is totally in love with Ellen.
About Ellen
Ellen found herself working as a librarian at Baylor University in Waco, Texas after many years living and working overseas in the Balkans. (She told herself if she could handle the Balkans, she could handle Texas.) She loves good friends, good coffee and good conversation, photography, Slavic languages, Anglican theology, baking and cooking for a crowd, her naughty cats Simon and River, playing the guitar, and live music. She also totally loves Kelly.
About Us
We would like to thank George W. Bush for bringing us together. No, really. We met in the summer of 2008 when mutual friends went to see a screening of the movie Crawford (you can watch it here for free) being shown on the football field at Crawford High School (20 minutes from Waco). Some not-so-random encounters in the ensuing weeks, along with some obsessive Facebook profile checking and eventually Google chatting, led us to a first date at the Clay Pot. After a three hour conversation that seemed like five minutes, we both knew we wanted to see more of each other. It only took a few more dates to realize that things were heading in a wonderful direction.
