December Photo Project 3b

What?? A bonus post? But I’m not a prolific blogger!! Well, maybe I’ll get the hang of this after all.

I figure that I should be able to find one, teeny-weeny little moment of transcendent beauty every day. I am an artsy-fartsy type as well as a blue collar wrench-turner. So for your pleasure, a moment of beauty from my day…

These are the rafters of the hangar where I work at quitting time. The sun is nice and low and very golden, even though my cellphone thinks it is smart enough to correct the color for me.

Anyway, thought I’d share… It was quite a nice way to end a day that I spent mostly folded in half underneath the instrument panel of a Cessna.

December Photo Project Day 3a

Here is today’s lunch, eaten at the lovely picnic tables in the hangar at RAM

Three (yes three) beef/bean/cheese burritos, cheddar chees Sunchips and a diet Dr. Pepper from the Speed-ee Mart down the street from work

OK, lousy lunch. I know, I know. My car has a crappy flat tire and I can’t get the lug nuts off because some moron at the tire place that I bought these from put the lug nuts on too tight, so I had to mooch my friend Steve‘s car to go get some lunch.

“Why not just bring your lunch?” you ask? Because this morning was crazy with last minute gluing and stapling of bibliographies and sleepy twelve year-olds who stayed up late getting the bulk of his History Fair project done. No time to make a lunch…

Anyway. No major homework tonight and dinner is ready, so off I go for some good family time. Yay!
